Different Kinds of Eternity Rings

There are two kinds of eternity rings. These include full eternity rings and half eternity rings.

Full eternity rings have diamonds engraved on the entire circular surface of the band. While in the half eternity rings, the diamonds are placed only on the top half. Full eternity rings are one of the most lustrous rings to own. On the flip side, the diamonds can get rubbed against the surfaces that you touch, and therefore one has to be a little more careful.

In half-eternity rings, the top-most portion or three-fourth of the ring’s top surface is engraved with diamonds. Some believe that these offer greater convenience as one does not have to worry about the diamonds suffering any damages. These rings can have relatively bigger diamonds as these are set only on the top part of the ring.

The rings derive their meaning from ancient Egypt. It was believed that a circle symbolized eternity. Therefore, what better way to manifest true love between a husband and a wife than through eternity rings.
